Clinical procedures — scans, retrieval, transfer and surgery — are carried out at Apollo Fertility, Hyderabad, where she practises.

How do I book an appointment?

Question 3

What is included in an online consultation?

Accepted Answer

A 45-minute video consultation covering a structured history from both partners, a line-by-line review of your existing investigations, an explanation of the diagnosis, and a written treatment plan with the recommended pathway, expected timeline, realistic success range for your profile and an indicative cost. The written plan is shared after the call.

Question 4

Which parts of treatment require an in-person visit?

Accepted Answer

Consultations, report reviews, second opinions and follow-ups can be completed online. Transvaginal ultrasound and follicular monitoring, blood investigations, hysteroscopy or laparoscopy, oocyte retrieval and embryo transfer require attendance in person at Apollo Fertility, Hyderabad. Monitoring scans and blood tests may be done at an accredited centre near your home and reviewed remotely.

Question 5

What should I share before the consultation?

Please send, in advance: semen analysis, AMH, TSH and prolactin reports, a recent pelvic ultrasound or antral follicle count, discharge summaries of any previous IUI or IVF cycles with the stimulation chart and embryology sheet, and a current medication list. PDFs are preferred to photographs. Sharing records beforehand allows the consultation to be spent on decisions rather than data collection.

Question 6

Can I ask a single question without booking a consultation?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Brief clinical queries — whether an AMH value is appropriate for your age, whether IUI or IVF is the reasonable next step, what a failed cycle indicates — can be sent on WhatsApp and will receive a direct answer. Where a question cannot be answered safely without a full history, that will be stated clearly rather than answered in general terms.

How quickly are messages answered?

Accepted Answer

Messages are read and answered personally, generally within one working day. Replies are sent between clinic and theatre sessions, so an immediate response should not be expected. Urgent symptoms during an active treatment cycle — severe abdominal pain, breathlessness, heavy bleeding or fever — require immediate attendance at the treating hospital rather than a message.

Question 8

Is IVF always the recommendation?

Accepted Answer

No. A significant proportion of couples do not require IVF. Depending on the diagnosis, the appropriate first step may be ovulation induction with timed intercourse, three to four cycles of IUI, correction of a polyp, septum, hydrosalpinx or endometrioma, or completion of the male workup before any female-side intervention. IVF is advised when the evidence indicates a meaningfully higher chance of live birth for the time and expenditure involved.

Do you provide second opinions on treatment plans from other clinics?

Yes. Second opinions are among the most frequent reasons patients make contact. Share the proposed plan together with your investigations, and you will receive a candid assessment of whether it matches the diagnosis, which components are essential, which add-ons are optional, and what outcome is realistic. Where the existing plan is sound, that will be confirmed.

Question 10

My previous IVF cycle failed elsewhere. Do we begin again from the start?

Accepted Answer

Rarely. The previous cycle is reconstructed from the stimulation chart, trigger details, oocyte and fertilisation counts, day-3 and day-5 embryology grading, transfer notes and any genetic testing, to identify whether the limiting factor was protocol, laboratory, endometrium or embryo selection. Most patients then require only a focused additional workup and a six to eight week interval before the next attempt.

How is recurrent implantation failure or recurrent pregnancy loss investigated?

Through a structured five-domain assessment rather than an open-ended panel of tests: embryo factor (extended culture, selective PGT-A); uterine cavity (3D ultrasound, operative hysteroscopy where indicated); endometrial receptivity (selective ERA, screening for chronic endometritis); immunological and thrombophilia screening (antiphospholipid antibodies, lupus anticoagulant, thyroid antibodies); and male factor (sperm DNA fragmentation, advanced sperm preparation). A test is included only where the result would alter management.

Do you consult for patients outside Hyderabad and overseas?

Yes. The diagnostic phase is planned online and investigations are completed locally, so travel is required only for procedures. Where travel is necessary, the workup and procedures are compressed into as few days as possible, and post-cycle follow-up is conducted by video.

What are the consultation and treatment costs?

Accepted Answer

The online consultation carries a single fee, confirmed on WhatsApp before booking, with no package or obligation to proceed. For treatment at Apollo Fertility, Hyderabad, an IVF/ICSI cycle currently ranges approximately ₹1.4–2.4 lakh for the procedure, plus ₹60,000–₹1.4 lakh for stimulation medication depending on dose. PGT-A, embryo freezing and donor gametes are quoted separately. Hospital billing is handled by Apollo, and an itemised written estimate is provided before treatment commences.

Question 14

Is treatment regulated, and how is my data handled?

All treatment is undertaken at Apollo Fertility, a centre registered under India's ART (Regulation) Act, 2021 and the Surrogacy (Regulation) Act, 2021, with consent documented in a language you understand and copies provided. Online consultations follow the Telemedicine Practice Guidelines. WhatsApp messages are end-to-end encrypted, records shared are used solely for your clinical care, no information is shared with third parties, and deletion of your chat and records can be requested at any time.
